Chinese Canadian Artists Federation in Vancouver

Like you and me, she is an ordinary Lu-Chou daughterin-law, but there exists theartistic element in her blood. Therefore, after she moved to Canada to accompany her
children on their new journey as international students, she chose to attend the Victoria College of Art during her free time to pick up the paint brushes in her dreams as a youngster and to pursue these dreams along with her children in a foreign Country.Over the years, with undying support from her family, she has not only finished a master”s program in fine art but held annual solo exhibitions in various cities such as Victoria, Vancouver, and Seattle. Her works are recognized and praised by the local art circle. She took part in the 2008 “Rice Paper Work” exhibition by the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, as well as two consecutive invitational exhibitions at the Victoria International Airport in 2008 and 2009 and the Chinese Cultural Festival in Vancouver in 2007. Moreover, her works have won awards at local competitions, including the top prize at the 19th Annual Sooke Fine Art Show in 2004, top prize at the Ladysmith Multi-Media Fine Arts Exhibition in 2005, and

Cindy Shin-Min Wang, with a cooking spatula in her right hand and a paint brush in her left, looks at herself with courage between sunrise and sunset and records her roles as a daughter-in-law, wife, and mother with utmost honesty.
