1934年生於河南省。1954年從北京財經專科學校畢業之後，一直在學校任教，1989年4月從北京二中退休之後，雖然自小酷愛藝術，但工作繁忙未能專心從事藝術創作，退休之後時間充裕，一直從事所喜愛的書畫藝術至今。

Ms. Liu was born in Beijing, China in 1934. She graduated from The Financial College of Beijing in 1954 and then became a teacher. After retirement in 1989, she started learning calligraphy which she continued to practise after immigrating to Canada in 1998.
