郭永興1948年生在台灣1996年移民加拿大温哥華，在優美的環境中利用工作之餘受教於張俊傑老師，研習美術創作概念。嘗試將文字與圖晝結合，以現實生活為題材，以台灣意象為內容，創作出簡明易懂的繪畫。

Robert Y.H. Kuo was born in Taiwan in 1948.He immigrated to Vancouver,Canada in 1996.He used his spare time after work to study the principles of creating art with professor Chun-Chien Chang .He experimented with combining word with pictures by drawing inspiration from the life around him and his life in Taiwan to create art that is simple and easy to understand.
