陸德容出生於香港。因受家人影響自幼喜好塗抹把玩颜色。
一九六八年畢業於何東女子職業中學,專修陶藝及美術設計成績優越。一九七二年畢業於葛亮洪教育學院第三年美術專科。六十年代隨周士心先生學習水墨畫、從丁衍庸先生學素描及油畫。七十年代初師從唐鴻老師習花鳥、蕭立聲老師習山水。一九七六年至一九七七年獲獎學金往英國曼撤斯特大學深造。

曾任職于柏立基師範、羅富國師範及香港教育學院美術講師。1995年移居加拿大卑詩省高貴林市,山居閑時種植牡丹花卉,撫玩古琴,並時時以旅遊所見生活所聞四時花卉爲作画題材。近年設立工作坊以國畫媒材教授三聯市學童,以分享生活情趣及文化交流更傳播引導人與人之間對跨族裔文化的尊重。

Growing up in Hong Kong in the fifies, Arabel Luk loved playing with pigments. She graduated from Ho Tung Technical School for Girls with a major in Art and Pottery in 1969 and then Grantham College Special Third-year Art in 1972. After winning a scholarship, she attended the University of Manchester, UK from 1976-1977 to study teaching art to Children with special needs. Luk was taught Chinese landscape and Sung Style Elaborate painting from masters Siu Lap-Sing and Tong Huang in the early 70’s.

Luk taught art to secondary and college levels in Hong Kong for over 20 years before immigrating to Canada in 1995 leaving her position as an art lecturer of Colleges of Education in HK. Since then, she has been a Coquitlam resident for 18 years and has been teaching art to Tri-cities teenagers and adults since 2001. She is currently an art instructor at Evergreen Cultural Centre teaching Chinese media in the art programmes for a number of school districts.

Luk has been a member of the Port Moody Art Association and National Art Education Association since 1996. She joined ArtsConnect and the Chinese Canadian Artists Federation in Vancouver in 2006. She has organized and participated in various art exhibitions in the local communities and Hong Kong. In 2007, she was also invited by Accent on Art for a televised interview. The most recent shows she participated were the 2011 Diamond art show of GCE in Hong Kong and the Vancouver exhibition at the Chinese Cultural Centre Museum & Archivies in September 2011.
